There have been myriads of changes in the education system in Nigeria. Research and practice reveals that these changes have not achieved the desired outcome for education in the country. Indeed, if Nigeria is to reach her desired Educational objectives and goals, which is to build: a free and democratic society, a just and egalitarian society, a united, strong and self- reliant nation, a great and dynamic economy and a land full of opportunities for all citizens, any reform must be effective and needs to be embedded in the diverse culture in the country. This conference provides a place and space for stakeholder dialogue to optimize potentials for diversity and Culture in the education system.

The conference will focus on Diversity, Culture and the Education system. With closer attention to highlighting the potentials of Nigerian diversity, culture and how this can optimize the education system. That is, does diversity, culture impact on education policy, curriculum, leadership and teaching and learning? It is hoped that the inferences from this conference will advance knowledge and skills necessary to provide every Nigerian Learner with a world class standard education they need to thrive in the 21st century.
